Made-To-Order

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DESIGN AND BUILD A RING?

Our made-to-order pieces are estimated to be completed in approximately 4-6 weeks. If you're looking for a project to be done sooner, please get in touch with us as we will do our best to accommodate any rush order requests.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Cavalier operates on an appointment-only basis, our store hours are Tuesday-Friday from 11:00am-6:00pm and Saturday from 11:00am-4:00pm. To book, please visit our Appointment Booking page. 

If your desired appointment time is not available, please call +1 (604) 681-0047 or email us directly so we can add you to the waitlist, should there be a cancelation. 

What is your price range?

Typically, our engagement rings range between $3,000-$30,000+ depending on what stone you select from our inventory of ethically-sourced diamonds, sapphires, rubies, and emeralds.

Our wedding bands range from $500-$5,000+ each, depending on the design, width, finger size, and the types of material or gems used.

What materials do you work with?

Our workshop is set up to work exclusively with gold (10K, 14K, 18K, 19K white, yellow and rose) as well as platinum. We source both lab grown and natural mined Diamonds and fine gemstones in Sapphire, Ruby and Emerald. 

*We do not source or work with Moissanite, Morganite, Opal, Salt & Pepper Diamonds or any semiprecious or lab grown gemstones. We also do not build rings with alternative materials such as Tungsten, Titanium, Steel or Silver.

Do you re-design heirloom pieces?

We are not currently accepting any third party repairs, re-designs or heirloom projects at this time. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our team at info@cavaliergastown.com

Appointments

OUR PROCESS

During your appointment, you are welcome to try on any rings you’d like. Following your initial consultation on what you’re seeking, we’ll present our current collection of loose Gemstones and Diamonds available, as well as any finished pieces and ring styles similar to what you're looking for. From there, our team will begin building out your custom project within the budget discussed.

We offer in-store appointments for Engagement Rings (30 minutes), Wedding Bands (30 minutes) and Ready To Wear Jewelry (30 minutes), as well as Phone Consultations (15 minutes) for out-of-town clients. You’re free to ask us any questions along the way, and if you haven’t made a decision by the end of your appointment, you’re welcome to book a follow-up at a later date.

OUT OF TOWN CLIENTS

We work regularly with out-of-town clients and are able to facilitate our intimate made-to-order process via phone and email correspondence.

How many people can come with me to my appointment?

A friend’s advice is priceless, however, we do ask that only one person accompany you during your appointment. If you'd like to request a larger group to join you, please give us a heads up and we will do our best to accommodate.

Online Purchases

Ring Resizing / Availability / Shipping & Fulfillment

If you require a ring resize beyond the listed size found in the product details of our select ready-to-ship pieces, please contact our team for an up-to-date fulfilment time as they may vary. Due to the rarity and one-of-a-kind nature of our pieces, all items listed through our website are available on a limited availability. If you would like to inquire about designing a piece similar to one that has been sold, please get in touch with our team via email

If you are purchasing a ready-to-ship piece at its listed size, your item will ship within 5-7 business days. Order confirmations will be sent via email within 48 hours of purchase. 

Any in-stock items purchased online through our website after Friday at 11:00 am PST will not be fulfilled until the following Tuesday. Holiday hours may affect this time allotment.

Canadian, US and International shipping costs may fluctuate based on current FedEx rates. 
*All items shipped through Cavalier are insured up to $25,000.

Warranty & Insurance

Warranty Policy & Third Party Insurance

Cavalier provides each of our clients with a complimentary two-year manufacturing warranty from the date of purchase. Within the first two years, the first ring resize will be complimentary on engagement rings, as well as one general maintenance check which includes ensuring all stones and prongs are set and secure, a deep clean and polish.

We do not provide insurance through Cavalier, however once your ring has been appraised we suggest filing the documentation to your current insurance provider. If you do not have insurance, we will happily provide a referral to a local and trusted company. We highly recommend having your ring appraised and insured in case of loss or damage.

Third Party Appraisals

Appraisals that we provide at Cavalier are not done in-house, but rather by a well recognized appraiser in Vancouver. We will happily facilitate this for you at the cost of $100 per item.

Sizing & Product Care

HOW DO I FIND OUT MY RING SIZE OR MY PARTNER'S RING SIZE?

During your in-store appointment, your finger size will be measured and recorded in your customer profile. If you are trying to find out your partner’s ring size without them knowing, you can always bring in a ring of theirs for us to measure. Alternatively, any ballpark to get a custom piece started is wise. We do offer complimentary first time ring resizing on our engagement rings.

ring resizing & General Maintenance

A ring resize is estimated to complete within 10-14 business days, our workshop will also polish and clean your piece before pick up.

To ensure longevity and integrity, we suggest bringing in your Cavalier pieces for annual maintenance. This allows our team to check and secure the setting after daily wear, as well as polish and thoroughly clean your jewelry.

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, checks and bank wire transfers. If you are interested in an alternate form of payment, please get in touch with us.

Return Policy

Made-to-order Jewelry

Our made-to-order pieces are custom designed specifically for each client, for this reason, these items are not eligible for return.

Finished Jewelry

Upon evaluation from our team, an exchange or store credit for an item of greater or equal value may be issued on any of our finished jewelry pieces.

Items eligible for a return must be brought in within 14 days of purchase, unworn, in original condition and accompanied by the purchase receipt as well as the original method of payment.

Merch

All Cavalier merch pieces are not eligible for return.
